After all is said and done, you are left with a sense of utter perplexity. You start ruminating about the meaning of it all. Was this intended to be funny?

Or were we just simply unfortunate enough to witness this spectacle unfold?

Dreadful Day Ever

It all started with a terrible case of terrible hair. I couldn't figure it to look presentable. As I was running out the door, here I trippedover and dropped my lunch all over the carpet. To make matters worse, I was completely late for a very important appointment.

A series/chain/cascade of unfortunate/awful/disastrous events unfolded/occurred/piled on top each other, leaving me feeling like I was in a nightmare/horror movie/comedy of errors. It's the kind of situation where you just want to scream into a pillow.
